Conference Room AV System

Grand Stage is a Chicago area stage and studio supplier. They sell stage lighting equipment, custom sewn drapery, make up and about anything else a theatre or TV studio would need. When they wanted to add a conference room to their Chicago facility they knew they wanted to include an AV system, but they wanted to do it on a budget. They wanted a fully installed system and not just a portable video projector on a cart, but they wanted to spend less then $10,000. That budget did include installation, but they wound up doing their own install to save even more.

Front View of Room

Certainly an AV control system, with a fancy touch panel, was beyond the budget limitations, but the ceiling hung video projector and VCR can be controlled with the factory supplied IR remote control units. A small tensioned electric screen, which is sized to the small sized room, is controlled from a wall switch. The sound is reproduced through two wall mounted speakers which flank the screen on the front wall of the room. A laptop computer may be plugged into a wall plate in the front of the room.
